Day Three: Wilmington Family Vacation

The sun is shining at last! Yipee! I was so glad to peek through the blinds this morning to see the sun rising over the water. We threw on our bathing suits and headed for the beach. The tide was so high there wasn't a whole lot of beach to play in so we didn't stay very long. It's ok because E just doesn't really care for the beach all that much. He likes to play in the sand but that's about it. On our way home we passed a park so we stopped for a little playground time. When we got back we put E under the outdoor shower (the water is warm thankfully) and he had a blast. That made for some great pictures as well.

Chris' mom and dad, otherwise known as Nana and Pa, came into town in the late afternoon. As soon as they arrived, Pop broke out the fishing pole and headed down to the dock. Chris and E joined him and of course that made for a perfect photo op. I feel a scrapbook page coming on! We lulled around during the afternoon on the dock and the house and decided to go out for seafood for dinner. I didn't blog about our terrible dining experience our first night here, but this restaurant more than made up for it. We later walked around on the Carolina Beach boardwalk and headed home. It was a great day!
