Trip to Linville with the Ledfords

This weekend we took a trip up to the mountains of North Carolina with my BFF, Carrie and her hubby Adam and 3 1/2 month old baby girl, Kaitlyn. We had a great time and it was a long time coming! As long as we've been friends, we've rarely taken trips together with our hubbys. That's sad isn't it? The weather was just perfect Friday evening as we were driving up and getting settled in, but Saturday turned COLD! We hung out and relaxed Saturday morning and then headed up to Blowing Rock to do some window shopping. By the time we got there, it was starting to sleet and by the time we left on Sunday there was a little bit of snow covering the ground. We were all bundled up in our winter gear and definitely didn't look like the locals, who were sporting just long sleeved shirts and jeans, and maybe a hat. I've never been to Blowing Rock and it is such a cute little town! I may talk Chris into heading back up there for our 5th anniversary in April!

Here's our little man playing with the leaves in front of the
Ledford house before we left on Friday.
Doesn't he look adorable in his little fleece vest?!

On our way to Blowing Rock, we drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway and made a stop at an overlook for some pictures with the babies. Man - what a beautiful view!

Brrr - it was so cold!
